Re: Life insurance [tw: suicide]

I don't have an insurer yet. This is a "should I waste my money and time trying to be considerate about it" question.

Don't commit suicide and you'll be considerate enough to your widow.

*to your family.

I've been told to my face the exact opposite is true. At least this way my life will be worth something.

Well fuck those people. I don't know you, but already I know that you're worth something. Do not throw your life alway for people who obviously don't deserve your consideration.

I don't know how old you are, but even if you're 80, you still haven't been all you can be. You still haven't given life your all. Don't give up because people are assholes. I don't know your life or what you can do to get out of your situation, but there are always ways to leave a unhealthy environment.

Seriously, the fact that you replied to my one comment, gives me hope for you that you don't want to give up either. Don't let people tell you you're worthless, cause they don't know jack shit. You're worth a hole heck of a lot more than those people who put you down.

Fucking fight, anon. Don't give up.

If you don't know me, then how do you know I'm worth anything? I'm plenty ready to give up. Death just happens to be messy and irritating to a lot of people and trying to make it as convenient as possible for the ones who will have to deal with it directly. A few hundred grand should take any sting out of it.

No I don't know you, but that doesn't mean I can't not know that you're worth something. If you want to give up, I can't stop you. But all I hear is a bunch of self-loathing and you trying to push everything away.

You can disregard everything thing I said, but that doesn't mean you aren't worth something. I know you are worth something. I wouldn't spend my time talking to you, if I didn't think you weren't worth something. I don't need to look you in the eye, to know you are worth something.

If you need to talk, I'll listen. Or if you want to speak to someone else, I can find helplines for you. But if don't want anything, then okay. I don't want to make you feel worse.

A few hundred grand cannot replace a human life or take the sting out of death and I honestly believe no one is worthless. And surely if you were, you wouldn't be concerned about harming the people around you.

And I urge to talk about this with someone who's more equipped to help you, be it someone you know personally or a suicide hotline. Here's the US one: 1-800-273-8255 and here's the UK one: 1-800-784-2433.

Please reconsider your decision and know that we're concerned about your life. If you do go through with it, there's no chance for your life to improve.

It can when everyone around me wishes they had a few hundred grand instead of me, and some have told me so repeatedly.

I'm not worried about harming anyone. I just want to go out in a way that's the most convenient to everyone. There's so much paperwork and financial BS when people die (and that's the only reason anyone would care if I did). I can at least cut out that part.

Anyone who tells you to kill yourself is a terrible person who should not be listened to. Also, if you've been reading that one poem in A Shropshire Lad, please throw it out the fucking window.

Re: Life insurance [tw: suicide

When the person who tells me I should die is the very person who gave me life, I should probably listen to them.

No: parents can be inimical to their own children, and often are, by reason of their own pathologies. Sometimes your nearest and dearest wish you ill, but that's no reason to oblige them. Live to spite this person, OP.

Re: Life insurance [tw: suicide

(Anonymous) 2014-03-11 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
I don't want to spite her. I want to make her happy for once.

Re: Life insurance [tw: suici

(Anonymous) 2014-03-11 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Call a help line. You dying in the long run, won't make her happy. You can use that as protection for your actions, but taking your own life, is your own choice, and won't make anyone happy. Even if you've convinced yourself otherwise.

Re: Life insurance [tw: suici

(Anonymous) 2014-03-11 12:34 pm (UTC)(link)
She's told me otherwise to my face.

Re: Life insurance [tw: suici

You keep saying that without reading the comments. I never mentioned your mother at all. You obviously need to seek counselling. Phone a helpline or go to therapy.

Re: Life insurance [tw: suici

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 12:30 am (UTC)(link)
Edit: miss read this response, but helpline/therapy still valid. Your mother is not the whole world. You sound young, so please seek help.

I really don't want help. I want to just get it overwith, and that isn't up for debate. I was just wondering if the life insurance angle was a viable option.

Re: Life insurance [tw: suici

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 07:35 am (UTC)(link)
There is always another choice besides death. Always.

Re: Life insurance [tw: suici

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 12:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe for others. Not for me.

Re: Life insurance [tw: suici

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Of course there is. You just don't want to see it. You'd rather give up. That's your choice. But you know it's not the only one.
