...mangoes?

Mangoes taste like pine trees. :< LONG LIVE PINEAPPLE!

Depends on which kind of mango you are eating. The kind that you get in Asia that are juicy and sweet are amazing.

Asian mangoes. The Mexican variety aren't quite as good, IMHO. Sweet and juicy are the best. Also, raspberries and blueberries are up there.

I just found out that the ones we usually get in supermarkets here are a cultivar called "Tommy Atkins"--presumably for their toughness--and that they're grown for their shipping and keeping qualities, not their texture or taste. Figures.

But grapes tho. :(

Especially the nice big green ones that are the perfect balance of sweet and sour. :D

But I like basically all fruit. Except cantaloupe. Cantaloupe is gross.

I love plums myself.

Oh and Bell peppers. I love cooking with them. I had a sandwich earlier with a bit of red bell pepper. Hmmm. And I cut up and sauteed some orange and yellow peppers and put them on spaghetti before I ladled on the sauce.

But mangoes are certainly up there. Honorable mentions go to blueberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, navel oranges, bananas, peaches, and bosc pears.

Passion fruit.

It makes me so sad that I'm allergic to mangoes.

Grapes used to be my favourite, but I developed a problem after my last surgery where a lot of really strongly sweet things will give me heartburn. Grapes apparently are just that strong.

I like nectarines, strawberries, Granny Smith apples. I like pomegranates, but they are fiddly as hell, I occasionally like rockmelon (cantaloupe), and watermelon, but it's awkward because of it's size. I like to go to juice bars and get plain, freshly extracted watermelon juice. I like pineapple, but I rarely ever get it raw.
I like bananas, but only in that narrow stage between all green is gone and just after they start developing spots. Mum eats bananas just a bit under-ripe but I think they taste like cardboard at that point. Leave them to ripen too long though and all they are good for is banana cake (best done with over-ripe bananas).

Paw-paw aka papaya is disgusting to me.
