Why on Earth did you think that font in that size was a good idea.

What made you look at that font in that size and decide it was readable?

Not T!A

(Anonymous) 2014-03-11 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Am I the only one that actually found the conversations enjoyable in the game? Except for when the characters would ramble on about things, they were likeable. And I felt more connected to them & can actually imagine them as friends. It made the people more real. And as much as people don't know it, I think it's one of the reasons why April Ryan was such a memorable character. It if wasn't for her random and hilarious thoughts and things she'd say, how else would of[sic] people loved her so much? I really hope the creators of the game bring back aspects of those conversations in the next game of the series. Compared to April, I hated (Joe? Zoe?)

I had to use some clues to figure out a few of the letters, but I think I got it all right.

OP, the formatting was pretty, but the font was WAY too small, especially for a semi-calligraphy font like that one.

ETA: darn, somebody beat me to it. Well, it's the thought that counts, right? ;-;

The Longest Journey! I remember playing that as a child, wow that brings back memories... I was still living with my mother and it was pretty much my first introduction to computers... I don't think I ever finished it, but I did buy it again when I saw it on sale and got pretty much just as far as I did as a child... damn now I want to play it again

Oh and the secret: I loved the dialogue! Actually I love everything about this game, and I probably always will...

Edit: I will admit, I only know the Norwegian version tho, but for once that is okay because it is actually Norwegian! I might or might not have some slight national pride over that fact...

Ooh, you have to play it all the way through, the ending is intense! There's a sequel (Dreamfall/Drømmefall), and they're apparently making a sequel to that too, now. TLJ is totally one of my favourite games ever, partly because of the dialogue. April says a lot of funny stuff. :~D

I've always been so proud that this was a Norwegian game, and one that was actually voiced really well in Norwegian (which as you probably know is rare)! I never thought I'd approve of Synnøve Svabø in anything. :~P

LOL didn't know people were so sensitive here! >_<
It sucks that such an amazing game that has the chance to be talked about isn't due to silly word fonts. I hope I can make a new secret of this one if its possible. It doesn't deserve to to have possible conversation of it clouded by something so petty. Oh, well.. :)

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
I for one was not being petty. I literally could not read it and therefore couldn't discuss it.

I genuinely unable to read that, how is people pointing that out 'petty'?

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
LOL, if the font of your secret is what's being talked about instead of the game, that's on you for choosing an illegible font. But go on blaming everyone but yourself, secret maker

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 07:45 am (UTC)(link)
I couldn't read it. The end.

If people can't read it, how can they talk about it? I managed, but it took some work and involved a lot of squinting at the screen.

I love this game, but your sour response is making me not want to talk to you about it. :~/

Hard to read, but I struggled through because it's a fucking Longest Journey secret! The Longest Journey is my favorite game ever, hands down. It had such a wonderful story, and such likeable characters. The puzzles could get a little ridiculous sometimes, but I liked them a lot better than Dreamfall's puzzles, which were barely puzzles at all. You only have two items in your inventory and one is a book! Oh, gee, I wonder which one you should offer to the librarian to advance the plot!

I mean, I enjoyed Dreamfall, but it just doesn't hold up as well in comparison to the first game.
