What's the show, OP?

(Anonymous) 2014-03-11 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't worry, I'm just as petty since I do this all the time with all sorts of ridiculous shit.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-11 10:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe it was something they loved a long time ago?
caecilia: (Blue spider ladeh)

[personal profile] caecilia 2014-03-11 10:58 pm (UTC)(link)
I like that the spider is number 8.

Is this a fic author or a regular book author?

(Anonymous) 2014-03-11 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
"Losing respect" for people because they like something you don't like is stupid. Unless they like murdering babies and kittens or something.
rubbertea: joly from les mis being worried about the sanity of everyone around him (joly is worried about ghosts)

looks like the protagonist of Kafka's Metamorphosis is enjoying some nice hot cocoa

(Anonymous) 2014-03-11 11:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I should not have laughed so hard at this.

Poor guy could use some nice hot cocoa.

Really. 'I'm sorry your family life is terribad and you turned into a bug. Have some hot chocolate, you poor woobie, you.'

At least you can admit that it's petty.

Einstein

(Anonymous) 2014-03-11 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)
If you look up to somebody and think they're amazing, yes, it's easy to get the wool dashed from your eyes by finding out they're regular humans and have likes and dislikes the same as everyone else, ones you'll disagree with.

For instance, if I found out Einstein laughed his heart out at the Three Stooges, I'd probably think a little less of him. But why? He was a real person and allowed to like what he liked. Maybe he liked some goofy stuff, and if so, what's wrong with that?

Just remember everybody is a real person and allowed their opinions and likes, even if you disagree. :)

the Three Stooges are great, though

Einstein did say he only married his wife because she was a good cook, though. That always annoyed me.

Re: Einstein

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
...you want he should have married a bad cook? Why?

On a more serious note, that was a time period in which that was probably all he knew about her, before they got married (and she probably knew even less about him). Not that I advocate for that sort of thing today, you understand. But given the times that they lived in, this was actually not an unreasonable thing to get hitched for.

the three stooges are great and i also can't believe you're seriously saying you would think less of someone for laughing at some goofy nonsense

unless this is some kind of reverse trap thing where you're going to spring out and go "AH HA! SEE! You need to be more accepting of other peoples' opinions!"

So who's the author and what's the show?

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
I think this is going to be my favourite secret this week, just because what the fuck, spider with "hot choclety milk"?? Good job OP, you made me laugh.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
(Same anon - aw, I just reverse image searched this, apparently I'm late to the party with this spider meme? Oh well)

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Tell us more details, OP! But I can totally relate to this.

It looks like even the spider is judging. That's funny.

Personally I think you need to lighten up, OP. but you knew that so eh, whatever.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 05:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Off topic but I laughed my butt off at the drawing.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
I only lose respect for people if I found out they like/write RPF, tbh.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-12 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Before I read all the other comments, I'd just like to record my bet that this is about Diane Duane watching Sherlock.
