I like the pairing, personally. Is it really pairing the spares if it's the only pairing on the show where at least one of the characters is actually interested in the other or am I misunderstanding the phrase?

That's what I was thinking. There's actually some basis for this pairing, and I thought "pair the spares" was like throwing together two random characters that don't really have anything to do with each other to get them out of the way of other ships.

Yes, I agree!

This show is full of BL ship-tease, but SeiGou is the only pairing in the show that actually has one person having a romantic interest in someone.

The same goes for me.

Seriously, this is probably the one anime I've seen where one character realizes (s)he's attracted to someone, then says it! The open honesty is just so refreshing.

And she hasn't shown interest in him yet. Yet.

I'm very patient.
