Probably because Moffat's episodes are more convoluted?

I don't think the secret has to be talking about convoluted plots though. I read that as dense in the sense of not getting the love.

It could very well be about Moffat, but it isn't necessarily so.

But then again, even if it were talking about RTD I wouldn't agree with the secret because I think the writing in Doctor who is 80% subjective as to what people like and dislike and that RTD's style and Moffat's style may appeal to different people but that doesn't make them objectively bad.
