Considering it is Tennant's image in the secret, I'm amused that the comments focus on Moffatt's writing instead of RTD's.

Oh, I completely agree. I'm a person who prefer's Moffatt/Eleven's run, which is why I was amused. This place seems to love to bash Moffatt even when it seems like the secret is actually talking about RTD.

I had that thought too and was amused by the typical Moffat hate, but I don't know if the secret is actually referring to RTD's writing or if OP just used Tennant's face because they liked his expressions more.

Maybe. Either way, though, its amusing to me. I don't really care what people like or don't, but it seems like every even tangentially-related Doctor Who secret is an excuse for Moffatt hate for some people.

I honestly wouldn't mind the bashing so much if people weren't so obnoxiously self-righteous about it. Dislike the guy's writing all you want: just don't think it somehow makes you a better person.

Agreed. I don't mind hating Moffat. I hate some of Moffat's stuff and a lot of RTD's stuff. But I hate this idea that Moffat is objectively bad and you are objectively wrong if you disagree. And the way it pops up everywhere even when its off topic.

Its okay to like Moffat or enjoy his writing style. And its okay to disagree with the idea that he's horrible and his stories don't make sense. Its opinion, not fact.

This, also, sucked (though I didn't see it, just saw the results of it posted here, there, and everywhere). To answer the original OP's question, I guess we all went to it being Moffat's writing, because Moffat's writing ticks every box the OP of the secret is complaining about.

RTD's episodes may have been campy and a little OTT, but at least they hung together coherently, and you could follow what was happening, from beginning to end. Regardless of what one thinks of the content.

I mean, that was SILLY sure. But it's... not that hard to follow.

The arc angel network was in everyone's heads and the Doctor said he tapped into that network and thus when they all thought about him and believed in him, he got all that power or whatever.

+1 Like, I get that the current show-runner is Moffat. But dudes, when the image isn't from his era, you might want to think about it.

Where is the dislike for JNT era, people? Anyone claiming that Timelash was good writing are obviously unintelligent.

Don't you know? Moffat is the only bad Doctor Who showrunner/writer ever, and anyone who disagrees is objectively wrong? And this should be brought up whenever a secret is Doctor Who-related, even if it has nothing to do with Moffat.

I don't think the secret has to be talking about convoluted plots though. I read that as dense in the sense of not getting the love.

It could very well be about Moffat, but it isn't necessarily so.

But then again, even if it were talking about RTD I wouldn't agree with the secret because I think the writing in Doctor who is 80% subjective as to what people like and dislike and that RTD's style and Moffat's style may appeal to different people but that doesn't make them objectively bad.
