Okay, I'll give you Debra because she was awful (as was everyone in that show tbf) but Lois is a great character (if very flawed...like everyone else in the show)

Ugh yes, I couldn't stand any of the characters. I've always thought the grandpa was like a meaner, less likable Red from That 70's Show (who is one half of one of my favorite tv couples)

I thought Debra & Lois were both awful, but the families they had to put up with were so very much worse I wound up feeling sorry for them. I didn't watch much of either show for long because I couldn't for the life of me figure out why they didn't leave. Needy husband, whiny (and in Lois' case demonic) kids, horrible in-laws...yuck. Seriously, they should have faked their own deaths and moved to the French Riviera.
