I refuse to believe the Arkh Project isn't some sort of elaborate "social experiment" cooked up by a group of bored trolls with waaaaaay too much time on their hands.

The Arkh project was supposed to be a crowd funded videogame with all kinds of minority representations (POC, trans people etc.). People say it was a scam because they wanted people to give them money but in the end, it turned out that nobody in that "team" had even the slightest clue about creating a game and the only thing that existed were a few half assed character pictures. I haven't been following it too closely, so I don't really know what became of it but the last thing I heard was that it was more or less abandoned.

It is a scam but I'm not sure it is a parody. Isnt the person who runs it some sort of notorious sjw? Riley something? God, I miss Arkh Project wank.

Ha, yeah no. Most SJ people (and I guess SJW if we have to use that term) hate them. They are two faced and an ass. Not to mention a rapist.

So I just looked this up. It doesn't look bad...? But I read the FAQ and skimmed the characters tag. Did they say bad stuff in conversation somewhere? What's the wank? inquiring minds want to knooooooww

I haven't touched that mess in ages, but if I recall a lot of the wank was coming from the fact they said they were going to make a video game and had a lot of fundraising and collecting donations with zero actual product or any concrete details other than a few character sketches. So people were saying it was a scam, since you were donating to something that did not actually exist.

Also one of the creators was a huge SJW and ran some toxic blog about how horrible white people were or something.

It's a wild ride, and they are pretty much concentrated awful.

IIRC, on top of the...extreme behavior of the leader of the project in other places, and the fact that virtually nothing came out of it, there was also some unfortunate implications in the two (TWO) characters they did release information on (happy, happy slavery, and some issues with the gender identity of the slave), and those characters seemed less to do with 'diversity' than putting the creator's kinks out there. (Also, I think some of the (very, very little) art they used to show 'progress' was stolen, but I may be thinking of another project.)

That's a shame, because when I was going through their art yesterday I really liked a lot of it.

Oh well.
