Re: Anyone have any horror recommendations?
(Anonymous) 2014-03-13 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)If you do decide to read it, I'd recommend checking out the AO3 tag afterwards. There are only two fics there (and one is technically a fusion fic), but both are excellent.
Re: Anyone have any horror recommendations?
edit: OMFG. Shirley Jackson wrote one of my favorite short stories, The Lottery. I read it as a kid and was so amazed by it. If The Haunting of Hill House is half as awesome as The Lottery, I am going to love it!
Re: Anyone have any horror recommendations?
I thought there were more fics than that at AO3. :( The one fic that is not a fusion (I haven't read the fusion) is pretty freaking awesome. Seconding your rec.
Re: Anyone have any horror recommendations?
(Anonymous) 2014-03-14 04:33 am (UTC)(link)Unless there's another tag I don't know about, the only fics I've found on AO3 are these two:
http://archiveofourown.org/works/298150
http://archiveofourown.org/works/35166
The first one might be the one you're talking about? The second one is the fusion (basically, it's the plot of the book with Harry Potter characters).
Re: Anyone have any horror recommendations?
It is, and it's great.
I had just misremembered there being more fics on the old yuletide website, but when I went to look no dice. I guess I just dreamed it. LOL
