IDEK what to say to this because tastes are so varied that what you might like someone else might find completely unappealing. And I'm really into beards and facial hair, so...

...Uh, you ARE strictly talking about actors in their off-season though, right? Because in that case...yea, who really gives a damn. Let them do what they feel comfortable doing. On a show though, I'm pretty sure that TPTB have to okay it, so even if it doesn't work for you they've probably discussed their look with someone.

Personally, I will never forgive Mike Farrell for growing that terrible '70s mustache on M*A*S*H. Not only did it make BJ look far less cute than he previously did, but no one wore mustaches like that in 1953. It was ultra-'70s all the way, like Margaret's slowly-evolving Farrah Fawcett haircut.

They or the crew wants them to grow a beard or have longass hair? Whatever. I care about the fucking PLOT and character development.

Actors are not our slaves. They're people. People need to stop harassing them and obsessing over them.

Yes, we all dislike when the people we like to watch on TV don't look as hot to us as we'd prefer, but obviously somebody thought it looked nice and approved it. Just because you don't like the change doesn't mean it was made "for no reason."
