One of my friends doesn't have ADD but another condition (don't know what it's called, sorry) that means that he literally can't concentrate on stuff. He'd be doing things like taking on and off his shoe because he got distracted by me chatting, or not taking off his jacket because he was talking.

On the other hand he was really good at focussing on computer games for hours at a time, so it was only for specific things. I know he's needed to get extra time for his uni courses and suchlike, so it definitely affects how he studies.

Does this sound like it might be similar to what you're experiencing? Can you ask a doctor about maybe getting a diagnosis or something? Because if you've got something similar to my friend it's possible to learn to cope with it.

If you do have ADD or think you might have, look into some coping strategies (there are books, and the internet, though a dubious source, may also help). The strategies may help you even if you don't have ADD, who knows!
