Dude, I'm lonely. Almost all my fandom interaction comes from here on F!S. Most of my fandom-specific communities on the journal-sites for talking about fandom and fannish material are sleepy or dead, there is no real discussion going on in Tumblr, and people don't really talk on fanworks anymore.

And I get where you're coming from about those A/N's, but then you get the problem of people skipping over your A/N's entirely because tl;dr and even saying that the A/N took up too much space and should have been avoided. I always ask people what they think of my fics, to comment and leave concrit, and that just goes right back to the original problem of people not wanting to say anything other than praise in the first place.

Heh, you're not the only one -- F!S is also my main fandom hangout, primarily because I'm more of a books fan, and most books... do not have a fandom (or are on Tumblr, and argh Tumblr). I've a better chance of having bookish discussions here than elsewhere, even for some of the book series that have a lot of fic (I really, really like meta discussion, and I can't seem to find that easily).

Yeah like I said they can try putting up A/N's but people still have free will. And I wasn't trying to discriminate against the lonely. I am lonely too. I was just saying I think they're lonely because it seems most people in this thread think they're just an asshole.

This is just something I'm not always the most rational about. Most of the time I can ignore it but every now and then I end up wanting to scream when I realized how much of my beloved fandom experience I've lost and how little I've gained in return.
