Educate yourself. Some of us have a lot of problems being attracted to real people because of our issues, fictional characters can be a safe space for us with no triggers because in my case fictional characters can't rape me so I feel safe fantasizing about them. Hmm, are we talking liking 2d as in cartoons, or are you specifically referring to people who are attracted to 2d characters and not flesh and blood people?

I mean, either way it doesn't matter. :) As one of those people who finds it extremely difficult to relate to most non-2d media, I'm gonna keep on enjoying my cartoons, and you can keep on thinking I'm pathetic if you wish, but it doesn't much matter. You will then need to also explain how you feel about people who enjoy 3D animation that have no interest in real people.

OP only said "like" and "interested in", those are pretty vague terms to automatically go and translate to "attracted to".
I certainly didn't interpret that sexually or romantically, I thought they meant people who actually never leave the house and don't interact with any other human beings in any way, not even online.
