I'm....very broad Christian I guess? My dad was a terrible Catholic but I went to Baptist churches as a kid. Is there a word for someone who believes there is a greater force out there but does not conform to any one religion? I am not a fan of organized religion because of how most of them twist the words and meanings of religious texts to justify being an asshole.

Hmm, you might say you're theist. Or pantheist, if that fits you better.

This is basically me, too. I grew up going to a Baptist church but stopped in my teens because by then my views had changed so much and I didn't agree with or feel comfortable with some of the churches teachings.

Though to be fair I never had the strongest interest in the teachings or was the most devoted follower, so I guess this isn't much of a surprise.
