I'm kind of sad that this is such an obvious troll. I'd have loved to see the explanation for how there was possibly any queer-baiting in that scene.

Actually, all of the relationships in Pocahontas were so superficial that even the canon romance was barely a romance. I'd buy hate-sex between the raccoon and the pug before any sort of romantic relationship between any of the other human characters.

"...Hate-sex between the raccoon and the pug before any sort of romantic relationship between any of the human characters."

That is a beautiful sentence and you should feel good.

In all seriousness, I agree. The main problem with that movie wasn't the hilarious re-imagining of my home state's geography and history, but the two bland leads. The secondary characters were more interesting and believable. The best thing about the human characters is the parallels between them.

/Had to watch this movie too many times in history class 'cause VIRGINIA U GAIZ! WE LIVE IN VIRGINIA AND THE MOVIE TAKES PLACE IN VIRGINIA AND THIS IS AN ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTE FOR ACTUAL TEACHING!!11!
