Did I miss the part where Disney had them act in a way specifically to bait fangirls/boys only to turn it around last minute because "lol they're totally straight gaiz"? Did I miss a naked swimming scene where they almost kiss but then that's just them messing around, and it didn't actually mean anything because "everyone knows girls like to experiment but that's just until they meet the right guy"?

Nowadays....still not really, but it's getting better. But children's entertainment still has this air of "MUST PROTECT THE CHILDREN" about it that even this won't fly too well.

If you'd picked any of the examples of "those two guys" from a Disney movie, or maybe Tiana and Lottie from PatF, I could've seen it. Hell, I can even see where people are coming from when they say the relationship between Elsa and Anna came off more romantic than sisterly (though I don't agree), but Pocahontas and Nakoma? Nope, just friends there.
