It's wonderful to have a generous nature, but... yeah, we CAN actually know something about someone's personality based on the things they say. Especially if those things are broadcast in national/international publications and are pretty much the typical "I'm not like other girls" nonsense that's thinly veiled misogyny.

I guess I'm referring less to that and more to stuff like "You know that girl who cattily makes fun of other girls' weight and looks so the guys around her laugh? That's Lily Allen". Saying that seems different and more personal compared to saying that she says dumb things that are thinly veiled misogyny. I don't know.
