I agree that a lot of what Lily Allen says and does is annoying or offputting or I disagree with.

That said: you don't know her personally and you have no way of knowing anything about her personality. You're making an assumption based entirely on her public image. Do not do this. The most you can say is that she says dumb shit. Anything about her emotions and personality and who she is in her private life you cannot know.

It's wonderful to have a generous nature, but... yeah, we CAN actually know something about someone's personality based on the things they say. Especially if those things are broadcast in national/international publications and are pretty much the typical "I'm not like other girls" nonsense that's thinly veiled misogyny.

I guess I'm referring less to that and more to stuff like "You know that girl who cattily makes fun of other girls' weight and looks so the guys around her laugh? That's Lily Allen". Saying that seems different and more personal compared to saying that she says dumb things that are thinly veiled misogyny. I don't know.
