Ah, okay.

I'm going to make it a point to avoid all black people from now on, because in my personal experience they are all violent thugs.

Ah yes, knew that would be one of the replies. But for people who really feel this way and aren't just using racist strawmen, I understand that! If you have had bad experiences with black people, it's understandable (not rational, but understandable) to have that fear. But also understand that believing a category of people are actual criminals, not just unlikable, is more far fetched and much more harmful to people in that category if you talk about how they're all like that. So nice try but nope, not comparable.

But it is comparable. In fact, half of what you wrote before that line was arguing that you see it as comparable.

You're right, it's not comparable. Black people don't make up half the world's population.
