Re: Canon Pairings You Don't Get
(Anonymous) 2014-03-19 02:26 am (UTC)(link)It really felt like it came out of nowhere for me and it absolutely ruined both characters. I really liked Calleigh before they got together and Eric was sometimes fun. But after they were together, they were just awful to watch. I saw zero chemistry and the storylines were often hijacked by their romance. At least Sara/Grissom (another ship I never really liked) never really seemed to negatively impact the entire show and didn't really hurt either character's characterization.
Calleigh/Eric was just awful though.
*SPOILERS*
And speaking of Sara/Grissom, I never felt they really worked. He was so open-minded and she proved on more than one occasion that she was not. I think what's happened to them right now (splitting up and not living together before that) feels realistic because I think they would've drifted apart. If they had lived happily-ever-after, I never would've believed it.
