Greeeeeeeat -.-;
(Anonymous) 2014-03-19 11:22 pm (UTC)(link)They took a scene from DP where Desiree (a genie ghost that used to be a harem girl) told the hero "no man may lay a hand on me unless I wish it" and making it into a thing about sexual assault and stuff (with dumb shit like "Rape is how Danny Phantom saves the day") when the OP conveniently forgot to mention the context - Danny was trying to stop her from causing destruction to innocents.
Like I get that the character might have understandable hangups about men and it would be cool if they addressed that (addressed it well not like Girls Night Out and and beauty pageant thing) and stuff. But this stuff is just...so "URGH" to me because they're twisting it making out the protagonist to be some kind of sexist or whatever when he's actually a really sweet character and just....basically saying shit without context.
I don't know it just...it's so much like fundies that make Harry Potter into some sort of devil worshipping craze when it's NOT. Also it's just...I hate people making judgement on it based on misinformation. Want to watch the show and make informed judgement and criticism? Sure I'll be glad to discuss it with you and stuff. Make an assumption based on a screenshot/line from the show with no context? No, GTFO.
It also bothers me because it reeks of "oh this villain of the week is a girl? Welp he can't do anything to stop her because 'DATS SEXIST'". Which is sexist in itself because it implies that females characters can never be a match for male characters thus they are weaker.
The hammer of justice don't care about sex/gender...or at least it shouldn't.

The struggle attracted the attention of diners at the Nice Croissant Café but, just as Mr Stapleton managed to get a grip on the mugger, a crowd of women rushed out and started screaming at him.
Mr Stapleton said: “Some of them were shouting ‘It’s a racist attack!’ because the guy was Asian.
“I had him pinned down and was screaming at the people in the bar to call the police, but with all these women shouting at me I lost my concentration and let him go.”

(Anonymous) 2014-03-19 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)The saddest scariest part is they'll find a way to justify that too. It sometimes scares me how SJWs will do just the most horrible bullying things and then find ways to justify it and call OTHERS who call them out "trash" and "scum". "Calling out" has become a blood sport for them.
HAVE MORE!

SJW's are just ignorant sheeple who think they're better than everybody else.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-19 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/02/18/portland-teens-carve-swastika_n_4807902.html
Three Portland, Ore., teens will be charged as adults in a shocking kidnapping and torture case in which they allegedly carved a swastika into a classmate's forehead.
According to KATU, four teens allegedly took revenge on a 16-year-old boy after he called a friend of theirs "gay" on Facebook.
[...]
The victim told police that he was struck in the back of the head with a crowbar as he entered the shed. Kalmbach then allegedly shot the victim in the hand, chest and groin with a BB gun, and proceeded to carve a "swastika-shaped insignia'' into the victim's forehead with a box cutter, according to the Oregonian.
The teens took the victim's iPod and ordered him to go retrieve money and a skateboard. Instead, the victim escaped and ran to a nearby auto shop to call for help. The four alleged attackers were arrested later that day.
Police said the suspects considered their victim a bully, and saw their acts as retaliation. But the victim's mother said that's no excuse.

I sadly have no good advice. You're in that shitty situation where jerks make a cute little show into something it's not for the sole reason that they hate seeing people haven't fun. The only option is to get together with a group of like-minded friends, and troll the fuckers out of your fandom. Then post a secret about in a few months.
Re: Greeeeeeeat -.-;
(Anonymous) 2014-03-19 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)it was all around awful and I don't want to get into another one with my personal. Because some of these people remember those they argue with and have no problem doxxing when they decide that your opinion is "dangerous" (read: different from theirs) . Hell , since the subject was about (perceived) sexual assault I'd probably be called a 'rape apologist' or something.
Thanks for the advice.
SJWs annoy me but they also scare the ever living fuck out of me because they will do ANYTHING and then justify it somehow.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-20 12:15 pm (UTC)(link)There's also someone who said that an SJW ex friend of hers gave out her personal information to her rapist over an internet disagreement.
Also not exactly doxxing but I do know that on this community there used to be a user called childings who was bullied off the community because of SJW harassment. Like I remember an incident of it where some anon replied to them and claimed that they said some awful thing to a bunch of rape victims and was a rape apologist but when I asked for proof of the incident the anon never said anything.
Re: Greeeeeeeat -.-;
I know it sounds odd, but I could get what she was trying to say, but that community just would NOT fucking listen. they keyed in on a few select sentences and proclaimed her filthy rape apologist and hounded her for the rest of her days online,

Re: Greeeeeeeat -.-;
(Anonymous) 2014-03-19 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)especially if you look at the lyrics. They are actually some dark shit.
Though this is the show where a villain almost melted down his technical daughter to study her remains, so...
Re: Greeeeeeeat -.-;
But while us normal fans can talk about that, I'd expect the SJW to seque into a talk about how Patriarchy made her feel she needed a man and thus having failed to acquire one life was over.
Re: Greeeeeeeat -.-;
(Anonymous) 2014-03-19 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)Probably they would.
Re: Greeeeeeeat -.-;
and Ember
probably all the woman of Danny Phantom
Re: Greeeeeeeat -.-;
(Anonymous) 2014-03-20 02:18 am (UTC)(link)To my knowledge, the only kid-marketed thing that it has actually happened in was in the Drawn to Life sequel and I'm still not sure how that got greenlit.

(Anonymous) 2014-03-20 02:11 am (UTC)(link)Like, I love this show. But... it's made me realize where a lot of my kinks come from.
