Neh, I just avoid mentioning specific details about me in general, since who/what I am isn't important to what I do. But I can understand where it would be to someone else who wants to describe/tell other people who they are.

That said, pretending who you are is kinda not cool, but eh, ymmv.

(As an aside/semi-unrelated note, none of this identity labeling is new. I remember when people used to do that kind of stuff on their LiveJournals and personal websites, albeit with less self-described (for lack of a better term, sorry) gender/sexual identities and the whole nine yards that's all over these days. I'm old)
