But on the other hand, saying you're a chick when you're actually a dude (or the other way 'round), isn't nearly as bad as pretending to be trans when you're not.
There innumerable chicks out there to counteract any bad impressions one imposter on the internet might leave, but there aren't nearly as many trans folks, and we're already trying to prove against media stereotypes that we're not insane and demented and twisted and confused.
