#41 -- totally agreed. Though there are some decent bastard!Envy fics out there. If you're not finding them, you aren't looking hard enough. Sure, there's a lot of retarded Envy fluff, too. But you just have to part the waters.

*scratches head* Honestly, whoever wrote this must be my clone, since I'm always going on and on about how "complex" Envy is and how deep his lol relationships are, and how I could talk about him forever, so now I am a bit amazed. But actually, I have to admit that any "complexity" one sees in anime Envy is hypothetical. The anime itself only tells us that he hates Hohenheim, hates Ed, and hates Al to a lesser degree. That's pretty much all there is to anime Envy. If you see more to him, it's because he's an easy character to play with and imagine that there's more there.

This is one of my favorite books of all time from my childhood, even more than the ones I'm fandomy about like the Chronicles of Narnia. I feel EXACTLY the same way about that moment, no other fairy tale has ever touched my heart the same way that one did, even as an adult.

That someone else out there feels like that makes me ridiculously happy.

2. Haha I remember that RP, that was some good times. Remember right at the beginning when there were two comms (the...what was it, gyakusai_rp and turnabout_court or something), and then that one chick who made turnabout_court got all huffy (I think cause she couldn't play Edgeworth?) and quit? Ah, drama right from the beginning. GOOD TIMES.
At least, if I'm remembering things right. It has been like two years and it's all pretty fuzzy now. 8D I think that was the same chick who later ranted about how...something about how the fics at the time were... something, and everyone was like lol what fics there are like 5 fics for PW in existence how can you be ranting about something that doesn't really exist.
God this fandom used to be so small. D:

I can't speak for the secret makers? But I genuinely didn't like the guy when he was around. He was an idiot and annoyed the HELL out of me.

Once he died and you learned about more who he was? How his bravado was a front and Simon was just as much his inspiration as Kamina was Simon's? Then I really started to like the guy. He's not my favorite by any means (I love the entire cast not named Nia, really XD; ) but he's up there, and I really do like him.

But when he was THERE, I couldn't stand him.

Ugh, man, I totally lost faith in that series after they killed off Doyle (WHO REMAINS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER) and gave Cordelia, of all people, his powers. It was amusing initially, but after two or three episodes it got old. And then when she randomly gained depth after she cut her hair . . . I mean, it wasn't just me, right? She originally had some depth on Buffy, but then lost it, and somehow the magical haircut brought it back again? And then her whole romance with Angel that just never sat well with me . . . And then they made her into a god or something? WTF?!

She was actually my biggest issue with that show, come to think of it. If it had just been Doyle and Lorne and Gunn and Wesley and Fred, then I think it would've been awesome. And Lindsey! Lindsey was a great character. And maybe if they'd actually filled in what the connection was between Lorne's world and Wolfram & Hart, unless I just missed that somehow.

But, right, back to the actual secret! Seeing as I pretty much stopped watching after Colin showed up as a seventeen year old six episodes after he was born of two undead and sterile vampires thanks to the super-fast demon hell dimension of D00M (wtf tell me it doesn't sound like a bad RPG plot), I have no idea what happened to Lorne. What did they do to the second most awesome character on that show? D:
