I honestly don't think that rapists and abusers should be "redeemed", personally; if an individual wants to make amends with the person that hurt them, that's their prerogative, but they shouldn't feel like it's necessary, if that would be harmful to their mental health.

That being said.

I don't think that men need to be "redeemed". Fuck that. Unless the person you're specifically talking about is a rapist/abuser, they haven't actually done anything wrong, other than identify as a man. So fuck that idea, and fuck this idea that they need to make "amends" for something that they didn't actually do.
