As far as I'm concerned, the balance isn't THAT far out of whack, only men actually living today and personally guilty of committing crimes have anything to make amends for, and you, OP, need therapy. Or possibly to just stop consuming media that present men in such a relentlessly negative light, and/or hang out with a better class of men.
