Forget Wonder Woman and how her cameo and the movie it's in are gonna suck monkey balls. For get how fantastic four reboot is trying to be a franchise and make a second movie already, which could well keep marvel from ever getting it back before phase three is done (and is probably part of the reason, the incompetant spiteful fuckers)

THERE'S A JEM MOVIE BEING MADE

Now I love the 80's. Just like the show. I accidently loved Jem because it was on next to something it was okay for boys to like so I kinda ended up watching it while I was at it? Growing up I can admit it was actually very good. Turns out my favorite "boy" cartoon, Conan the Adventurer? Same Lady wrote the bibles for both! So you'd think I'd be happy.

Great, all the people so far revealed to be involved with the film are dudes. We couldn't get a woman to direct the freakin Jem movie? Or at least write it?

Scooter Braun seems to be a talent agent. he is most likely going to find singers. Jon M. Chu has directed several singing type movies (and the Justin Bieber movie). They seem quite qualified.

And they don't seem to have a write yet (Unless Chu is the writer)?

Look at how they chose to present this. Do they look qualified to you?

The show was written by a woman who's not even mentioned in this.

Oh, of course it's all to build hype. At the most one person will be 'discovered' and play some minor part, but even that is a stretch. But stupid kids like the one you linked to will get their hopes up and tell their emo friends about their audition, and that will spread the word.

This movie is going to suck and I look forward to the fallout. I'm hoping its on the level of M. Night's Avatar: The Last Airbender movie.

I want but don't want at the same time. Oh god I miss fangirling over Jem when I was a kid. I had a bunch of the dolls and puzzles and stuff.

I'll admit I'll watch it. I'll watch the fuck out of it if it gets made. Hell, I'll stream it for us.

But part of me will mourn.

For a second, your title made me think they're doing a Jem porn movie.

The only thing I care about when it comes to a Jem movie is the music. They better have some good songs or everything else is going to fall apart. (I am looking at you, Josie and The Pussycats.) Because 99% of time when it comes to movies about bands, the music SUCKS. Which only makes it laughable because there is always one character in the movie that gushes on how awesome the band is and how they will change the world with their music.
