Why has noone mentioned that if the younger person is younger the legally consenting age it is still considered statutory rape? Which means, that in those circumstances, ebophilia is technically illegal. Plus, in the older guy/younger girl set-up the guy (usually) goes for younger girls solely because he can't get women his own age and younger girls are a helluva lot easier to get into bed. Plus, no matter what the older person's gender is, it is easy for them to manipulate/groom the younger person.

I'm not saying that this sort of relationship can be healthy and meaningful, it's just that that (^) is the usual motive/dynamic.
