I read a lot of fics with a pretty great age difference. The fact is that I ALWAYS identify with the young character.
When I was a teen, I was attracted to adult men. Didn't give a shit about boys of my own age. Thought they were stupid.
I'm pretty much the same still. I always find myself attracted to older men in both RL and fiction.
Many of these comments talk like it's always the older one wanting to rape the younger one or that it's some kind of grooming fantasy. Just pointing out that this goes other way too. I definitely do NOT fantasize about making moves towards teenagers. Nope. I deliberately choose fics etc where it's the younger one that's pulling the reigns.
