Well, I for one don't talk about those issues in real life.

But I think a lot of it is tumblr culture, too.

What is tumblr culture, exactly? Do you have to show that you have some issues to fit in?

Kind...of? It depends on who you follow I guess. There's a lot of oppression olympics and exaggerating issues. There are also a lot of teenagers and teens tend to use the internet to try out different identities. They also tend to have a lot of stress about things.
