Well, in my case, it's that every time I look at the screen I feel physically sick. And the thing is, I write computer manuals for a living, so it's not as if I haven't developed techniques for writing stuff I really don't want to write. I want to update my stories, but it's like I've had aversion therapy.

I'm with you on the physically feeling sick when I try to write more of a particular fic at a particular moment.

And I've written long reports for work, and that was fine, so I can plan out and work to schedule. Writing fic is just different in an inexplicable way.
