Probably. I think the overall tone of the place changed, too, because we had a lot of SJWs and radfems running around on LJ. (personal favourite is probably whoever wanted Robert Downey Jr. to get raped in prison because he might be a Republican.)

It's part of the reason we're a bit rabid when they show up here.

Now that you mentioned it, I think you're right. There was a stronger SJW voice on the LJ comm, and when a few of them straggled over here, their reception was colder than it would have been.
