I didn't mean to assume, I just googled "How many people have anxiety disorder" and that was the first thing that came up. I'm aware that different cultures have different mental health issues and ways of treating those issues.

When I looked for world percentage, I found this: http://www.futurity.org/globally-1-in-13-suffers-from-anxiety/

I don't know how reliable that is though and you can do further research if it interests you.

40 million people is still a LOT of people, and like others have said, most people try to hide their problems in real life, so it's not really surprising that it's talked about online, where people feel more open.

I am curious to know what your country is!
