I know logically that this is true, but... ugh, I wish my friends would remember it. Or at least act like they do instead of pretending the things they like are "flawless" and "perf", while the things they don't are "literal shit". Even if the two have roughly the same amount and degree of dodgy stuff.

Yeah, that would be frustrating though. And it feels shallow to me. Why not critique the things you like, recognize the good and bad parts? That's more fun. As long as you don't get bitter, of course...
