Portraying Deadpool as wacky and slapstick isn't necessarily out of bounds for the character, though, depending on the situation and tone of the story and where it lines up with canon. Not to say that the people you're talking about write him in-character-- I wouldn't know-- but if they don't, it isn't because he doesn't spend the fics killing people.
