Agree to pretty much all of this, although I give a bit more leeway with the top one sometimes(depends on how much I enjoy the characters interacting/other reasons).

As for "the one" idea I just find it depressing, like there is only one person in the entire world that I will ever love and will ever truly love me back, like really? Considering how many people there are in the world it is so unlikely that anyone will ever find their true love, so what they settle for the rest of their lives? No thanks.

IA the "soulmate" idea is completely bogus. And also the reason why so many marriages fail, IMO; if you're going to get into a marriage in the first place, you'd best ensure you will be able to tolerate living with the other party, for the rest of both of your lives, if necessary, and if one of you needs more care than the other. Not to mention you should both be 100% certain you are compatible in what you both want out of the marriage, i.e. kids or no kids, pets or no pets, single or dual incomes, joint or split finances, home ownership or not, the list is literally a mile long, and only setting yourself up for disaster, if you don't consider any of those things because he/she is "Teh One!!!!!111eleventy" based on....what? Just because you liked the look of them? You "just had a feeling"? Yeah, you're gonna have a bad time.

TL:DR; People who jump into marriage with total strangers are just begging for problems.

Just because you are soulmates doesn't mean that you still don't have to work at the relationship. I mean Romeo and Juliet were soulmates, but they still had to work at their communication...oh wait.
