Exactly. Being nervous over things is fine and healthy and a perfectly normal part of life. It's scary when you go out into the world on your own for the first time! But it's also something that everyone needs to do at some point, nervous or not. You can't just say "I'm scared, so I don't want to do it."

There are tons of things that induce anxiety in normal, mentally healthy people. Going to college. Getting your first job. Learning to drive. Moving out on your own. Everyone experiences the same worry over those things, and it's normal. You're not unusual for being frightened by them. It seems like these days a lot of people think that nothing should be hard or scary or even the slightest bit uncomfortable, which... isn't how life works.
