There's an Akira remake coming up? Bet it's live action...

It's been in development hell since 2002. A script leaked in 2011 that was apparently godawful, but I think it's been rewritten since then.

Is that the oh dear god yes it is. Akira is the one live action movie I desperately want that I hope never gets made because they want to change everything about it and make it Another Standard Hollywood Action Movie.
