I was given a BIRTHDAY PRESENT years ago (at a time when ALL I wrote was X/Y, and I'd written a lot of it) in which Y and X flirt for a bit, and then A shows up and kills X, and Y realizes that he was bewitched by the evil X and steps over X's dead body to run off happily with A. :P

I don't actually know! They showed up and posted a handful of X/Y stories (with a lot of "Y deserves better" overtones) before hand, but never responded to any feedback, so I kind of wondered if they were a sockpuppet or just honestly didn't realize it was rude. I left a pretty neutral thank-you just in case they were bizarrely well-meaning. :)
