That sucks, I agree. I'd be bummed too. That said, they probably would have ended up trying to find a way to get me down; I have this terrible habit of deciding "this is the time I won't be a fucking wimp" and then freezing as soon as I realise that I'm up high.

However, to play devil's advocate here, if the job involves some working at heights, such as up the ladders (I assume to get to stock on the top shelves?), then you're not a suitable candidate if you panic in that situation.

Was working at heights/up ladders mentioned in the job ad at all? It seems like something that should be, due to how common a fear of height is, but being a jobseeker myself, I know just how crap some job ads can be with details (such as all the jobs that don't mention that you need a bleeding car).

It was that's the thing, and I thought I could do it. But....I just freaked out the first time I got on, and they decided I couldn't do it.

Maybe I should have said "hey it's been a long time since I've done this...maybe I could try harder?".
