As a well-off F!S'er, it's a bit "damned if you do, damned if you don't" about it all. On one hand, you know just how lucky you are and just how much your friends and companions aren't and so try and do something to help them ease their burden. On the other, you are afraid of being judged or used as a personal ATM with 90% chance of no return. Couple this with "don't worry, you don't have to worry about me", and you got yourself a sticky messy ball of cringe-suck. :(
