Depends on what you are buying. Cheap booze is plentiful but you break the bank with some wines and harder spirits like bourbons.

Actually, I wouldn't mind just a Coke with ice, thanks.

I'd be happy with a jug of ice water if it means I can sit and watch everyone else get drunk. I might be running to the bathrooms a bit though, but that's better than a hangover.

...I've seen at least four in this thread so far. And now I feel like crap for not pinching every penny I had when I had it, although I still wouldn't be rich, by any stretch of the imagination. I might not have debt and that's more important.....But I've only myself to blame, and on the other hand, I don't regret the (very) few things I have bought that I might have saved money on.

I do regret helping out an irresponsible family member, because I am further behind for it, but blood is thicker than money, to bastardize a phrase.
