I worked at the Walmart deli for a while, with a man who had some very clear anger issues and possibly some memory ones. He would leave slicers running unattended, would leave his station randomly (oftentimes leaving me as the only person at the entire counter, hot and cold sides both), once threw a mop across the room at me when I asked him to take care of a small oil spill since I was on an order, the list goes on forever. I finally went to my manager to talk to her about it, and somehow she decided I needed to be let go. I was so stunned I didn't even know what to say.

Needless to say I've not gone back since. But I do tell everyone I know that we were told never to bother actually changing our frying oil. Don't eat fried shit from Walmart.

Good luck with the job-hunting, OP. You didn't do anything wrong.

Wow...I think I'll remember that one. I know I have a friend with a long list of grievances about Walmart. even my brother says they don't have much of a good rep with anybody.

Thanks.
