I agree. I think it can be a variety of things. It can be because they're "like" you in the sense that they have similar values, traits, or demeanor, or even appearance might play into it. It can also mean that you've had similar experiences, similar relationships, similar thinking patterns, ways of handling situations, ways of being affected by things, etc.
