That really sucks. I know there are places that will work around issues with individual employees - when I worked at Walgreens, I had a lot of coworkers who were under 18 and couldn't operate the box compactor or work certain shifts, and I've seen cashiers at Target who get to sit on stools or who wear wrist braces. I had a friend who worked at a grocery store that would hire kids as young as 14 and those 14 year-olds were not legally allowed to - I kid you not - move or otherwise handle 5 gallon buckets (you know - the ones with the picture of the baby falling head-first into the bucket at drowning) so if they needed a bucket moved, they had to go find another employee and the employee was supposed to help them if at all possible.

I suppose it's like others have said: it's easier for Walmart to hire new people that make accommodations for the people they have. Anyway, good luck anon! If I were you, I wouldn't even try to go back to Walmart if I had any choice.

Yeah...I'll try looking for other places, but...maybe I'm stupid or just desperate. If I can't find anything else I'd try there, just to see if being a non-temp is any better. But really I'm looking for a job because I really have to.

I need a job for medicine. For insurance.

Thanks.
