My local pizza ranges from terrible to not too bad.

I make my own pizza though, and it's usually miles better than anything you can buy around here.

Probably the most interesting pizza I've eaten was at Lou Malnati's in Chicago. They just don't make deep dish style pizza around here so it was an experience to try it for the first time. And it was freaking delicious.

Oh and I guess I don't have a favorite pizza, so I'll just list some of the weird things I've done to pizza in my own kitchen over the years:

Pizzas with meat: BBQ chicken/pork pizza (shredded meat, green pepper, onion, mushroom, bbq sauce), thai chicken pizza (red bell pepper, bean sprouts, chicken, sweet chili sauce, crushed peanuts, cilantro), Mexican pizza (taco beef, pickled jalapeno, corn, onion, black bean salsa), Chinese pizza (shredded carrot, broccoli, green onion, chicken, hoisin sauce)

And since I have been vegetarian: white pizza (onion, mushroom, béchamel, parmesano reggiano, truffle oil), vegetarian reuben (roast beef style seitan, sauerkraut, Russian dressing), tandoori vegetable (grilled vegetables with tandoori seasoning, makhani sauce, cilantro), pesto pizza (pesto with kale and sunflower seed, mushrooms, onions, extra garlic)
