I'm not. Nor would I ever want to be. (Am religious, am Xian, there's this bit in the book about not worshipping Mammon, etc. etc.) I and my family are provided for (through our own hard work) and we have food, clothing, shelter, and transport. Also some tech, but not the latest gadgets/gizmos.

We are rich, compared to someone living in a third-world country. But we are considered just above "working poor" in our own country. (Making enough to just barely get by, but too much to qualify for any kind of tax breaks or income help, which means high taxes puts our income back down to subsistence levels.) Tho I would like to have a cushion of emergency money I have not had that for a very long time and likely will not have that for the foreseeable future.
