(Anonymous) 2014-03-25 01:51 am (UTC)(link)objectification does hurt. but you have to analyse the consequences and consider the fact that women objectifying men doesn't hurt them, but rather patriarchal standards set by men themselves tend to leave many men with complexes. women don't have the institutional power to oppress men through objectification.

This is starting to change, obviously, as evidenced by the increased presence of women in politics, but we're not quite there yet.
