Haha, this brings back memories of listening at bedtime to a set of Sherlock Holmes stories on cassette (which should give you an idea of how long ago this was) and when it got to the big reveal of that story I wanted to sit up and shout "Snakes don't drink milk! What is wrong with you!" at the tape deck. Of course I didn't, because I was in bed and supposed to be falling asleep. But that fucking snake bothered me so much. XD

I vaguely remember most of the other stories holding together better than that one, though. Hound of the Baskervilles comes to mind. If you only tried the one story, you might want to give some other ones a go?
